The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Supervisor to oversee water mains renewal and infrastructure projects across the Thames Valley region.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong utilities, water, civil engineering, or infrastructure background who enjoys leading teams, driving project delivery, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily site operations and ensure projects are delivered on time.
* Manage and coordinate operational teams and subcontractors.
* Plan and organise labour, plant, materials, and equipment requirements.
* Ensure all works are completed in line with health and safety regulations.
* Liaise with clients, local authorities, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
* Monitor project progress and provide regular updates.
* Carry out site inspections and ensure quality standards are maintained.
* Identify and resolve site issues to minimise delays.
* Support commercial teams with resource and cost management.
* Drive continuous improvement and best practice across projects.
Requirements
* Previous experience supervising utilities, water, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects.
* Experience managing site teams and subcontractors.
* Strong knowledge of health & safety requirements within construction or utilities environments.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and utility plans.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Essential Qualifications
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Water Hygiene.
* NRSWA Unit 10 (or equivalent).
* Cable Avoidance / Safe Digging.
* First Aid.
* Competent with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Desirable Qualifications
* Temporary Works Supervisor.
* Slinger/Signaller.
* NPORS Traffic Marshal/Banksman.
