Supervisor (Multi Utilities)

Our client, a leader in the power utilities sector, is currently seeking a Supervisor to join their dynamic team. The role involves overseeing multiple utility connections projects across the South West, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

We are looking for a Multi Utility or Electrical biased Supervisor who has experience supervising 11kV connections projects and managing direct labour and subcontractor teams on-site.

People who would be suitable for this role are:

MU Team Leaders - looking for get off the tools
Civil Supervisor that have worked on Water or electrical connections, water main / services or HV Cabling projects
LV / HV Cable Jointers looking to move up into a supervisor role. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your knowledge across the wider utilities sector, including water and gas connections, whilst also gaining exposure to higher voltage projects up to 33kV

Key Responsibilities:

Supervising day-to-day delivery of multi-utility connections projects
Managing direct labour teams and subcontractors across multiple sites
Working closely with Project Managers, Operations Managers, Design Engineers, and Quantity Surveyors to ensure successful project delivery
Ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with programme requirements
Maintaining compliance with industry standards and safety regulations, including NRSWA and safe digging practices
Carrying out site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks
Monitoring quality standards and ensuring work is completed to specification
Allocating resources effectively and managing workforce productivity
Liaising with clients, including residential developers, commercial developers, and ICP/CPO customers
Providing technical guidance and support to site teams
Reporting project progress, site issues, and resource requirements to management
Maintaining accurate site records and documentation
Ensuring awareness and adherence to NERS, WIRS, and GIRS standards where applicable

Job Requirements:

Multi Utility or Electrical experience with a strong background in 11kV connections projects
NRSWA Supervisor
SHEA Ticket (Gas/Water/Power)
Good understanding of NRSWA, CDM Regulations, and Safe Digging practices
Experience managing direct labour and subcontractor teams
Strong leadership and organisational skills
Ability to coordinate works across multiple sites
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Full UK Driving Licence
Flexibility to work within a hybrid and site-based environment
