Site Supervisor

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join a highways scheme in Manchester, offering an immediate start and the opportunity to secure a long-term, 12-month contract.

Key Responsibilities

* Supervising daily site activities across highways and civil engineering works.

* Coordinating subcontractors, site operatives and plant to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently.

* Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements.

* Monitoring site progress and reporting any delays or issues to the project management team.

* Maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.

* Carrying out site inspections, toolbox talks and daily briefings.

* Ensuring RAMS are followed and site documentation is maintained accurately.

* Liaising with Site Engineers, Site Managers and other project stakeholders.

* Ensuring works are delivered to programme and in line with agreed deadlines.

Requirements

* Previous experience as a Site Supervisor on highways or civil engineering projects.

* Strong understanding of health and safety procedures and site compliance.

* Experience supervising site teams and subcontractors.

* Ability to read and understand construction drawings and RAMS.

* Relevant industry qualifications, such as SSSTS or SMSTS, as appropriate to the project.

* CSCS card.

* Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.

* Ability to commit to a 12-month contract and start at short notice.
