The Opportunity

An established main contractor is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to support the delivery of a major industrial construction project in the Portsmouth area. The project consists of a substantial groundworks and infrastructure package, followed by the construction and installation of large steel frame structures.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded contractor on a significant project with a strong pipeline of future work.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Site Management team with the day-to-day supervision of site operations.
Oversee subcontractors and ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
Coordinate and supervise groundworks, infrastructure and steel frame activities.
Monitor site progress and raise any operational issues to the management team.
Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health, safety and environmental standards.
Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks and site inductions.
Liaise with subcontractors, project stakeholders and the wider project team.
Maintain accurate site records, permits and site documentation.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Site Supervisor, General Foreman or Assistant Site Manager on large-scale construction projects.
Previous experience working on Tier 1 main contractor schemes is essential.
Strong background in delivering major groundworks and industrial construction projects.
Experience supervising steel frame construction packages is essential.
Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and work packages simultaneously.
Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
