The Role: Site Services Engineer
As a Site Services Engineer, you will ensure maximum operational effectiveness of our equipment and facilities. You'll introduce new systems and procedures to improve our competitiveness and maintain an environment fit for manufacturing quality food products, in compliance with current health and safety legislation.
Key Accountability's: Site Services Engineer
Facility Maintenance: Maintain and develop the building, environment, and plant to ensure a safe working environment for all staff and visitors. This includes heating, ventilation, fire protection equipment, pipework & plumbing, alarm systems, and security systems.
Water Treatment Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of the water treatment plant.
Team Support: Support the engineering team to encourage flexibility and cross-functional skills. Promote a 'fix it right first time' attitude.
Efficiency Improvement: Improve efficiency's and reduce costs of equipment maintenance through targeted analysis and development of performance improvement plans.
Preventative Maintenance: Contribute to a planned preventative maintenance culture using KPIs, customer service levels, and detailed maintenance schedules.
Compliance: Ensure all statutory inspections (e.g., portable appliance testing, mains testing, and pressure vessels) are managed and records maintained in line with current legislation.
Standards Maintenance: Maintain and develop operating standards in Health & Safety, Housekeeping/Hygiene, and Quality. Prepare for audits.
Energy Savings: Identify opportunities for energy saving and ensure these are embraced site-wide.
Health & Safety: Ensure the health and safety of all staff members by adhering strictly to Health and Safety procedures and supporting Charge-hands in their responsibilities.Skills and Experience Required:
Qualifications: Electrical qualifications and some mechanical experience preferred.
Refrigeration Experience: Preferred but not essential.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills and experience with EMS systems (e.g., Pirana).
Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills with the ability to balance a varied workload and re-prioritise in response to changing business needs and unexpected engineering problems.
Experience: Experience working within a fast-moving, pressurised manufacturing environment.
Trouble-Shooting: Evidence of trouble-shooting and fault diagnosis.
Passion for Maintenance: Must be driven and enthusiastic with a passion for engineering maintenance.
Professionalism: Highly professional and able to deal with issues unaided.
Communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to build excellent working relationships.Why Join Us?
