THE COMPANY
Our Client is a versatile engineering company specialising in the repair, supply and manufacture of hydraulic cylinders and associated hydraulic equipment relating to machinery, mobile plant, cranes, marine, recycling and many other industrial areas.
They also undertake all general engineering and manufacturing as well as reclamation repairs.
Their Site Service division cover a range of disciplines including diagnostic work, new installations, removal and re-installations of components, upgrades, renewals, hose replacement service, and system monitoring.
They are a privately owned company operating for over 30 years with a wealth of experience within the industry through our team of engineers.
They are looking to employ an experienced qualified Site Service Technician to work with their site service team and Technical Manager to carry out installations, service and repairs, reactive fault finding and call out on their customers sites, as well working on projects in their factory.
The person we are looking for will be self-motivated, punctual, reliable and has pride in delivering a high level of service.

Hours of Work:
Basic 40hr week
8am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday
Basic Salary circa £28 to £36k depending on experience - Up to £46 OTE
You will be required as part of the team, to work onsite at night and weekends, rewarding you with overtime pay for these unsociable hours.
Site van and specialist tooling is supplied for site attendance visits.
Your main responsibilities will include:
You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on hydraulic equipment
Trouble- shooting equipment malfunctions.
Consulting with the customer on repair and safety related issues.
Generating sales leads during service call.
Completing appropriate documentation.
Complete all necessary reports and inspections as required.
Adhere to existing processes whilst contributing to improvements.
The person we are looking for:
City and Guilds, Or NVQ Equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
Practical experience with hydraulic equipment, systems preferred, product training will be given
Good grasp of the English language (verbal and written)
Strong interpersonal skills as there is extensive customer contact
Willingness to work extra hours
Hold a current driving licence for min 2yrs CSCS Card (Desirable)
SSSTS or SMSTS (Desirable)
Confined Space Training (Desirable)
First Aid at Work (Desirable)
Fork truck, MEWP, Crane experience (Desirable)
