Site Engineer / Section Engineer – Runway Paving (Night Shifts)
Location: Heathrow Airport, London
Position: Site Engineer / Section Engineer
Shift Pattern: Nights – 20:00 to 06:00
Contract Type: Contract – Inside IR35
Duration: Initial short-term assignment with strong potential for extension and further project work.
The Opportunity
We are seeking experienced Site Engineers and Section Engineers to support a major runway paving programme at Heathrow Airport. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile aviation infrastructure project within a fast-paced airside environment.
Key Responsibilities
Setting out and surveying for runway and airfield paving works.
Managing and coordinating subcontractors and site activities.
Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification.
Producing and reviewing QA documentation, ITPs and as-built records.
Monitoring progress and reporting against programme requirements.
Supporting site management teams with planning and delivery of night works.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Site Engineer or Section Engineer on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
Experience in paving, surfacing, asphalt, concrete or airfield/runway works is highly desirable.
Proficient with setting out equipment and engineering documentation.
Strong understanding of health, safety and quality standards.
Ability to work permanent night shifts in a live operational airport environment.
