Role Overview:

Based full-time on-site at Hinkley Point C, the Site Planner develops, maintains, and monitors contract schedules for assigned nuclear construction and installation scopes. Reporting progress to management and client teams, this role optimizes Primavera P6 to keep the contract within budget and target duration while managing critical path logic and emergent site works.

Key Responsibilities:

Programme Development & Baseline: Produce detailed, feasible project schedules from scope documentation; allocate estimated costs to activities to assist in programme baselining.

Progress Monitoring & Earned Value: Continually update and monitor contract programmes against actual site performance, conducting Earned Value Analysis (EVA) to track progress.

Critical Path & Risk Analysis: Predict and communicate critical path deviations and potential schedule bottlenecks to management to enable early corrective action.

Variations & Emergent Scope: Incorporate scope variations, emergent site works, and schedule adjustments into existing baselines smoothly.

Resource Planning & Reporting: Develop resource histograms to highlight labor requirements; generate regular progress reports highlighting key delays, reasons, and mitigation actions.

Candidate Requirements:

Software Fluency: Proven expertise in Primavera P6 and advanced Microsoft Excel for schedule generation, tracking, and reporting.

Planning Experience: Prior experience as a Planning Engineer or Assistant Planner within the Petrochemical, Power, Nuclear, or heavy Process industry sectors.
