Job Title: Site Operative with Forklift Licence
Swanstaff are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Site Operative with a valid forklift licence to join our client based in Northfleet. As a Site Operative, you will play a vital role in the efficient operation of our recycling and recovery facilities, ensuring the safe handling and processing of various waste materials.
Responsibilities:
* Safely operate a forklift to transport materials within the facility.
* Assist in the loading and unloading of waste materials from vehicles and containers.
* Sort, segregate, and process waste materials according to company procedures and regulations.
* Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any maintenance issues promptly.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
* Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and protocols at all times.
Requirements:
* Valid forklift licence (counterbalance) with demonstrated experience in safe forklift operation.
* Previous experience in a similar role within the waste management or recycling industry preferred.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to waste handling and forklift operation.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment and ability to lift heavy objects.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
