Description:

Landmarc Support Services is currently seeking to recruit a Site Operative at Oakhampton Training Camp, Devon.

As the Site Operative you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance and cleaning on the Training Estate, you will be part of small but dedicated team that takes enormous pride in what they do.

The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly over the course of a 37 hour working week with a requirement to work some weekends, this is reflected in our Variable Days Allowance.

Hours of work - 37 hours

Days of work - Mon - Fri

Contract - Permanent Full Time

Main ResponsibilitiesCleaning of accommodation blocks – to include bed space areas, ablutions, classrooms, stores, windows and offices.

Welfare area's cleaning - filling/emptying dishwasher, vacuuming, clearing of waste, removal of waste to outside containers. All to a set standard and recording when this has been completed.

Handing over/taking back accommodation and facilities.

Grounds maintenance to include leaf clearance, strimming, hedge and grass cutting

Basic building maintenance. Window handle changing, hanging curtains, decoration.

Water flushing of buildings to prevent legionella.

Water temperature checks in buildings. 

Testing of fire alarms and emergency lights.

Training will be provided.

The Ideal CandidateFull driving licence.

Ability to work within a team, but also alone.

Ability to complete documentation utiliising both IT and paper based systems.

Ability to follow processes within time constraints.

Painting and decorating with basic DIY skills (desirable)

Knowledge of H&S including COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments and safe systems of work
