Site Mechanical Fitter **
Location: Dartford / Kent / London
2-3 month contract
Rate: £27.50 - £32.50p/h DOE
Limited or Umbrella (Outside IR35)
Heavy Engineering / Process / Materials handling / Mechanical Fitting
Our Client
We are working with a key client who are a heavy plant engineering and construction company, based out of Yorkshire. We are recruiting for Site Mechanical Fitters on a key customer site for a minimum of a two-month shutdown, to assist on the upgrade of key capital plant, based in Dartford.
As Site Mechanical Fitter, key Duties will include:
Working on an array of equipment such as gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, valves, drives and motors etc, and including new walkways, gantries etc.
Fitting and installing conveyor systems / process plant equipment
Strong technical understanding to ensure mechanical specifications are met.
Report any snagging issues or problems to Site Supervisor / Manager
Liaise with other teams and key stakeholders.
Ability to work professionally on site at clients’ premises, being a key representation.
Work to a high-quality standard – ensuring all H&S procedures are followed.
The successful Site Mechanical Fitter will have the following attributes:
Btec NVQ L3 or Time served apprentice mechanical engineering/fitting.
Site safety passport (CSCS or CCNSG) essential
Strong communication skills, with a keen eye for Health, Safety and Quality
Experience in heavy industry, refineries etc
Ability to travel or be commutable to Dartford/Kent/London site
