Site Manager – School Refurbishment Project
Location: Royston, Hertfordshire
Duration: 5-week contract
Start Date: 24th July
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a refurbishment project at a school in Royston, Hertfordshire.
This is a 5-week contract requiring a proactive and hands-on Site Manager with a proven track record of delivering refurbishment projects safely, on time, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the day-to-day running of the refurbishment project.
* Coordinate subcontractors and site activities.
* Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with programme.
* Maintain high standards of health and safety and site compliance.
* Liaise with the client, project team, and school representatives.
* Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and regular safety inspections.
* Monitor quality, progress, and productivity throughout the project.
Requirements
* Previous experience managing refurbishment projects.
* Valid SMSTS certificate.
* Valid CSCS Card.
* First Aid at Work qualification.
* Enhanced DBS certificate (essential and must be current).
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain programme deadlines.
