Description:

Bouygues UK have an exciting opportunity for experienced Site Manager - Internals to work on the renowned Oriel project. Oriel is a joint initiative to transform a two-acre site at St Pancras Hospital to deliver a pioneering eye care, research, and education centre. The project will be a new, state-of-the-art building with an anticipated gross internal area of up to 46,000m2. Designed with flexibility in mind, it will be able to meet future service requirements and keep pace with changes in technological, medical or research requirements. Its design has been the subject of an extensive programme of engagement with patients, staff and partner organisations to ensure a national standard for accessibility is created.

Essential Criteria:     

Experience in Commercial or HealthCare new build projects 

Experienced in dealing with packages of an internal build (Drylining, Flooring etc)

1st fix or 2nd stage experience 

Main contractor experience preferred 

Knowledge of UK building regulations including UK H&S construction laws and their application

Experience of interfacing with Design and Architectural team

Ability to manage Assistant Site Managers and subcontractors

SMSTS, CSCS  Black Card (white card also acceptable in some cases) - must be current

Stress Management

High levels of quality standards

Ability to handle multiple tasks at once

Demonstrates strong attention to detail and produce accurate work

Job Purpose and Scope:

Manage interface with design and engineering teams and lead a subject to completion. Clarify the technical information, scope of works and interfaces with other trades during the procurement phase. 

Accountabilities and key tasks:

Assist the Project Lead in the delivery of the Project

Control of subcontractors and directly employed labour

Liaison with the Client and their agents

Review of ongoing works with a view to highlight potential defects

Advising production teams on ‘lessons learnt’

Assist with the preparation of O&M’s

Lead daily Start Up meetings

Run Black Hat meetings
