Groundworks Site Manager – Residential Housing Development
Location: Norfolk
We are looking for an experienced Groundworks Site Manager to oversee groundworks operations on a residential housing development in Norfolk.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day site activities, coordinating subcontractors and plant, and ensuring all works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee all groundworks activities across a residential housing development.
* Manage foundations, drainage, roads and sewers, plot works, levels and external works.
* Coordinate subcontractors, labour, plant and materials.
* Monitor progress against programme and ensure key deadlines are achieved.
* Maintain high standards of health and safety, quality control and site organisation.
* Liaise with engineers, suppliers and the wider site management team.
* Ensure all works comply with drawings, specifications and relevant regulations.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Groundworks Site Manager on residential housing developments.
* Strong knowledge of groundworks, drainage and infrastructure packages.
* Valid SMSTS certificate (essential).
* Valid CSCS card.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and site levels.
* Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
* A proactive approach to health and safety and problem-solving.
