Site Manager – Groundworks / External Works (Residential)
Leatherhead, Surrey | Permanent Position | Excellent Salary & Package | Immediate Start Available
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to take full responsibility for the external works package on a large-scale residential development in Leatherhead.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading residential contractor on a flagship project, managing all external infrastructure works from commencement through to completion. The successful candidate will come from a groundworks or civil engineering background and have extensive experience delivering services, drainage, ducting and associated infrastructure packages on residential developments.
The Role
You will be responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of all external works, ensuring projects are completed safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing all external works and groundworks packages.
* Coordinating groundworks subcontractors and site teams.
* Overseeing drainage, roads, services, ducting and associated infrastructure.
* Managing utility installations and coordinating with statutory undertakers.
* Ensuring health & safety compliance across site.
* Carrying out quality inspections and programme management.
* Liaising with the Project Manager, engineers and commercial team to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
To be considered, you will have:
* Proven experience as a Site Manager on residential developments.
* A strong groundworks or civil engineering background.
* Extensive knowledge of drainage, services, ducting, roads and sewers, and external infrastructure works.
* Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills.
* SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certification.
