Job Summary:

The Site Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing new builds and residential refurbishments, demonstrating strong leadership skills and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

* Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and supervise all site activities, ensuring projects are executed according to the schedule and specifications.

* Team Leadership: Lead and manage site teams, including subcontractors and tradespeople, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

* Quality Control: Maintain high standards of workmanship, ensuring all work complies with relevant regulations, codes, and company standards.

* Health and Safety: Implement and enforce health and safety protocols, conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments.

* Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and manage resources effectively to ensure financial objectives are met.

* Client Relations: Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.

* Documentation: Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.

* Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process, ensuring minimal disruption to the project timeline.

Qualifications:

* Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Site Manager in the construction industry, with a focus on new builds and residential refurbishments.

* Education: Relevant qualifications in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.

* Certifications: SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification is essential. First Aid certification is highly desirable.

* Skills:

* Strong leadership and team management abilities.

* Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

* Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.

* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

* Solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.

* Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
