Site Manager Required – Sheffield

Rate: Competitive Day Rate (DOE)
Contract: Freelance | Immediate Start
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading main contractor for an experienced Site Manager to oversee the refurbishment of industrial units in Sheffield.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager with a strong building background who has successfully delivered industrial or commercial projects and is available for an immediate start.
The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing all daily site operations and coordinating subcontractors.
* Ensuring Health & Safety standards are maintained at all times.
* Monitoring programme progress and driving works to meet project deadlines.
* Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks, and daily briefings.
* Managing site logistics, quality control, and site documentation.
* Liaising with the client, design team, and project management team.
* Resolving on-site issues efficiently to maintain programme.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Site Manager on industrial, commercial, or steel frame construction projects.
* Strong building background with experience managing projects from groundworks through to completion.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors.
* Strong knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation.
