About The Role
 
We are presently seeking to recruit a Site Agent to join our Southern Rail Division. Based from our Wimbledon/Southampton offices you will be working for our Southern division. The works entail structure refurbishment, Bridge replacement, steel repairs and bridge strengthening and general maintenance to the rail infrastructure.
Reporting to a Project Manager, duties include but are not limited to-
•            Controlling safety, quality & environmental activities
•            Site Supervision
•            Delivery of works to programme & budget
•            Producing Health & Safety plans & Work Package Plans
•            Writing Risk Assessments
•            Temporary Works
•            Pre-start site inspections
•            Planning (including road closures and possessions)
•            Tool box talks & HSEQ briefings
•            Providing plant & materials
•            Client liaison
 
What we are looking for
It is vital that you have a history of working on civil engineering projects within a rail environment. You will ideally be from an Engineering background, with a minimum of an HNC in Civil Engineering, a CSCS card and PTS. You must also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to enhance the performance of your team. Knowledge of Steel repairs, Bridge replacement and refurbishment would be an advantage but not essential.
 
Qualifications
Formal qualification in Civil Engineering HNC in Civil Engineering (minimum)

Recognised site safety management course for example Construction Skills Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or Institute of Occupational Safety and Health Managing Safely in Construction or equivalent
Recognised risk assessment training
Knowledge of the requirements of Safety/Environmental Legislation and Railway Group /Network Rail Standards.
Commitment to the highest practicable standards of health and safety and environmental protection
Good written and oral communication skills.
COSS or IWA Training as appropriate.
PTS Certification.
