We are currently looking to recruit a Site Manager to join the team at Garelochhead Training Centre in Argyll, Scotland.

This role may appeal to someone from an Operations Management background, we are looking for an individual that is happy working in a fast paced environment, managing a multi-skilled team, delivering total facilities management on site.

Main ResponsibilitiesTo manage a number of services in a remote location including line management of a multi-disciplinary team ensuring they are motivated and engaged to deliver, whilst providing confidence to the Employer and support the delivery of site and training area facilities to meet customer needs as specified by contractual obligations.

To manage a team of people being responsible for (but not limited to) managing performance, attendance, behaviour, capability, welfare, health and safety and record keeping

To ensure that all people are capable and that resources are fit for purpose in order to deliver the Training Estate Support Contract (TESC) module services

To ensure that the Training Estate Facilities are fit for purpose in accordance with the allocation and ensure compliance with the Training Estate Support Contract TESC service modules

To liaise with all stakeholders to ensure effective training area delivery

To effectively manage all aspects of the hard and soft FM on site

Have up to date knowledge of relevant H&S and industry legislation and implement accordingly

Carry out inspections and where necessary hold relevant qualifications to do so

Responsible for overall core contract delivery for Garelochhead Training Centre, Kinlochleven Lodge and Cambusbarran driver training area

The Ideal CandidateKnowledge of management theories and techniques gained through a Level 4 qualification such as NVQ/HND in a Business Management or People Management equivalent and proven experience

Knowledge of H&S such as COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments and safe systems of work to IOSH Managing Safely level

Excellent people management skills

Ability to understand budgets

Drive continuous improvement

Workforce planning skills

Must hold Full Valid Driving Licence
