Site Manager – Permanent | Haywards Heath | Multi-Million Pound Traditional Build Project
Are you an experienced Site Manager looking to join a reputable main contractor delivering high-quality construction projects?
We're currently recruiting for a permanent Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a large, multi-million-pound traditional build project in Haywards Heath. The scheme comprises a substantial multi-occupancy residential building of approximately 50–100 apartments and will require an individual with a proven track record of managing large, complex projects from inception through to completion.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor and take ownership of a flagship project, working closely with the wider delivery team to ensure the build is completed safely, on programme and to the highest standards.
The Role
* Managing the day-to-day operations of a large traditional build project.
* Leading and coordinating subcontractors and site teams throughout the construction programme.
* Ensuring works are delivered in line with programme, budget and quality expectations.
* Maintaining exceptional health and safety standards across site.
* Managing site logistics and sequencing on a complex multi-storey building.
* Liaising with the wider project team, consultants and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Driving quality throughout all stages of the build.
The Ideal Candidate
We are keen to speak with Site Managers who have experience delivering large traditional build projects, particularly those within:
* Hotels
* Student accommodation
* Care homes
* Apartment blocks
* Multi-room residential or commercial buildings
You will have a strong understanding of traditional construction methods and be comfortable managing sizeable projects with multiple trades and subcontractors operating simultaneously.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Site Manager working for a Main Contractor.
* Experience delivering large traditional build projects from start to finish.
* SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications are essential.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
* Ability to manage programmes, subcontractors and site operations effectively.
* A proactive and solutions-driven approach to project delivery.
