Site Manager - Commercial Refurbishment / New Build
Location: Harlow
Start Date: 19/06
Duration: 24 Weeks
Project Value: Approx. £2m
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a commercial refurbishment and rebuild project in Harlow.
The project involves a large commercial/industrial unit that has suffered significant fire damage. While the existing steel frame remains in place, the building requires a complete new shell along with extensive internal works and refurbishment. Candidates must have previous experience delivering new build shell projects and be comfortable managing both refurbishment and rebuild elements.
Responsibilities:
Day-to-day management of site operations
Coordinating subcontractors and trades on site
Managing programme and ensuring works are delivered on time
Maintaining high health & safety standards throughout the project
Liaising with clients, consultants, and senior management
Overseeing shell construction, refurbishment, and internal fit-out works
Managing site paperwork, RAMS, inductions, permits, and progress reporting
Quality control and snagging management
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial or industrial projects
Must have delivered a new build shell project previously
Experience managing refurbishment and rebuild works
Strong health & safety knowledge
Excellent organisational and communication skills
SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS required
Experience on fire-damaged or insurance-led projects beneficial but not essential
