The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a major civil engineering and remediation contractor delivering projects across the North West. With a strong pipeline of secured work and multiple schemes already in progress, this is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager seeking a long-term freelance assignment with the possibility of moving between projects.
The successful candidate will have proven experience managing remediation, earthworks and cut & fill operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
Managing day-to-day site activities on remediation and earthworks schemes.
Overseeing bulk earthworks and cut & fill operations.
Coordinating subcontractors, plant, materials and direct labour.
Ensuring health, safety and environmental compliance across all site activities.
Monitoring programme and productivity to ensure project milestones are achieved.
Conducting site inspections, toolbox talks and daily briefings.
Liaising with clients, consultants and senior management teams.
Maintaining quality standards and project documentation.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Site Manager within remediation, earthworks or civil engineering.
Strong background in cut & fill and bulk earthworks projects.
Excellent leadership and organisational skills.
Ability to manage multiple work fronts and subcontractors.
SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certificates.
Full UK Driving Licence.
