SITE MANAGER — SECTION 278 HIGHWAYS (WEEKENDS)

Fairmead are currently recruiting a Site Manager on behalf of our client, a well-established civils contractor, to run Section 278 highway works in Great Dunmow on a weekends-only basis.

Overview of role

* Location: Great Dunmow, Essex

* Duration: 1 month, weekends only

* Rate: 290 Per shift

* Hours: Saturday and Sunday, 8-5

* Running S278 works — new junctions, carriageway widening, kerbing, footways, drainage and street lighting, working to the local highway authority's spec

* Managing the gang, subcontractors and traffic management, and the day-to-day interface with the highway authority inspector

Requirements

* Proven S278 or highways experience, comfortable dealing with the highway authority and getting works signed off

* SMSTS

* CSCS card

* First Aid

* NRSWA / Streetworks Supervisor advantageous
