On behalf of our client, ITS Building People are searching for an experienced Site manager to join an award winning, dynamic, and forward-thinking Civils principal Contractor based in Hampshire & Dorset. Due to sustained and continuous growth as well as an order book stretching well past 2028 they are looking to add to their engineering team. The successful candidate will have extensive civils, groundworks, drainage, RC Frame, concrete experience, ideally including experience of projects involving Water Treatment works.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ensure all works are undertaken with due regard to the needs of the local population within the immediate vicinity of the works and the travelling public.
Manage, supervise and mentor the site team as appropriate.
Adopt, maintain, and promote cost conscious management through efficient use of all resources.
Ensure realistic scheme programmes are prepared, reviewed and updated.
Ensure method statements and risk assessments are prepared, reviewed, briefed, and updated.
Ensure all “as constructed” records are provided to the CDMC for inclusion within the Health and Safety File in a timely manner following scheme completion. The ideal candidate
The ideal candidate would have experience working as a Site manager on water treatment Projects.
Essential Qualifications/ experience required/ specific requirements for the role:
Previous experience of Site Management on civil engineering projects
Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations
Fully conversant with the use of RAMS
Degree qualified/HNC (or equivalent) in civil engineering
Excellent communication skills
Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook.
Able to read, understand and measure from Working Drawings
Ensure that commissioning teams are kept up to date with project progress.
Assist in ensuring a quality service is provided to the client.
Being involved in technical planning and programming the projects.
Ensure the project is running on time and budget.
Ensure health & safety is adhered to.
Be responsible for site inspections and progress reports.

SMSTS
Temporary-works co-ordination
CSCS card Black (ideally)
Cable avoidance training
First aid training
NEBOSH or IOSH
