Site Manager - M&E Upgrades (Freelance)

PSR Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee M&E upgrade works on behalf of one of our established contractor clients.

This is a freelance opportunity offering a day rate of approximately £280 per day, with an immediate start available for the right candidate.

The successful Site Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of mechanical and electrical upgrade works, ensuring projects are completed safely, on programme and to the required quality standards. The role will involve working within live operational environments, coordinating subcontractors and liaising with both client and project stakeholders.

We are particularly keen to speak with candidates who have a strong electrical background, either through previous trade experience or significant experience managing electrical installation and upgrade projects.

Site Manager Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day site operations on M&E upgrade projects.
Coordinate subcontractors and specialist trades on site.
Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with programme requirements.
Monitor and enforce health and safety standards across site activities.
Review and implement RAMS, permits and safe systems of work.
Conduct site inspections and quality checks throughout the project lifecycle.
Liaise with clients, consultants and project teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
Manage site records, progress reports and project documentation.
Coordinate electrical shutdowns, testing and commissioning activities where required.
Identify and resolve site issues to minimise disruption to programme delivery.
Ensure projects are completed to the required quality and compliance standards.

Site Manager Requirements

Proven experience working as a Site Manager on M&E, electrical or building services projects.
Strong electrical background or previous electrical trade experience.
Experience managing works within live or occupied environments.
SMSTS certification.
CSCS Card.
First Aid at Work certification.
Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and site management procedures.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and coordinate complex programmes of work.
