Site Manager Required in London
GVR Solutions are working with a well-established specialist drylining contractor based in London, who are continuing to grow and are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to strengthen their delivery team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager with a strong background in drylining, partitions, ceilings or specialist interiors to work on some of London's most significant construction projects, while joining a business with genuine long-term ambitions.
Responsibilities of the Site Manager:
* Managing the day-to-day delivery of drylining works on major projects.
* Supervising site teams, subcontractors and labour.
* Planning and coordinating works to maintain programme and productivity.
* Working closely with the Project Manager and wider project team.
* Coordinating materials, labour and resources to ensure efficient delivery.
* Monitoring workmanship, quality and progress on site.
* Liaising with the main contractor and other trades to ensure effective coordination.
* Identifying and resolving site issues quickly and effectively.
* Ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and programme requirements.
* Maintaining high standards of health, safety and housekeeping.
* Completing site records, inspections and relevant project documentation.
* Supporting the Project Manager with progress reporting and project delivery.
* Building strong working relationships with clients, main contractors and the wider site team.
The Site Manager must have/be:
* Proven experience as a Site Manager within drylining, partitions, ceilings or specialist interiors.
* Experience working on high-rise or major construction projects.
* A strong understanding of drylining installation, sequencing and construction methodology.
* The ability to effectively manage subcontractors and site labour.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* A strong eye for quality and attention to detail.
* The confidence to liaise with main contractors and other project stakeholders.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and site management.
* A strong commitment to health, safety and delivering right first time.
