Site Manager – Valves & Drainage Works
Location: Burton upon Trent
Duration: 8 Weeks
Start Date: Mid-June 2026
Project Value: Approx. £300k
Rate: Around £250 per day
We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a short-term civil engineering project in Burton upon Trent involving valves and drainage works on existing building roads.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Site Manager with strong civils and infrastructure experience to deliver a fast-paced project safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
* Day-to-day management of site operations
* Coordinating subcontractors and direct labour
* Managing health & safety on site
* Overseeing drainage and valve installation works
* Ensuring works are completed to programme and quality standards
* Liaising with the client, engineers, and project stakeholders
* Maintaining site records and reporting progress
Requirements:
* Proven experience managing civils/drainage projects
* Experience working on live or existing building road infrastructure
* SMSTS
* CSCS Card
* First Aid at Work
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Ability to manage programmes and subcontractors effectively
Desirable:
* Temporary Works awareness
* Utilities or infrastructure background
* Experience on projects valued around £250k–£1m
