Site Manager – Planned Maintenance & Refurbishment
Build Recruitment are working with a well-established main contractor to recruit an experienced Site Manager to deliver social housing planned maintenance and refurbishment projects across Essex and East London.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with a strong pipeline of secured work, delivering high-quality refurbishment programmes on behalf of local authorities and housing associations.
You'll take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day delivery of planned maintenance and refurbishment works.
Lead site teams, direct labour and subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Carry out regular site inspections, quality checks and progress meetings.
Maintain excellent Health & Safety standards and ensure full compliance with company procedures.
Liaise with Contracts Managers, clients, Resident Liaison Officers and other stakeholders.
Manage site documentation including RAMS, permits, programmes and progress reports.
Resolve site issues quickly and proactively to minimise programme delays.About You
To be considered for this role, you'll ideally have:
Significant experience working for recognised main contractors delivering social housing planned maintenance and refurbishment projects.
Several years' experience managing planned works contracts for local authorities or housing associations.
Experience leading both direct labour teams and subcontractors on occupied residential projects.
A strong understanding of programme management, quality assurance and Health & Safety.
Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
A stable employment history, demonstrating commitment and progression rather than frequent moves between employers.
Ideally progressed through supervisory or assistant management roles into Site Management.
SMSTS.
Black or Gold CSCS Card.
First Aid at Work.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Ideally based within or close to Essex or East London.What's on Offer
