Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our high-end residential projects. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all on-site activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage day-to-day on-site operations, including coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
* Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and health and safety regulations.
* Monitor progress against the project schedule and take proactive measures to address any delays or issues that may arise.
* Implement and enforce strict health and safety protocols, conducting regular site inspections and toolbox talks to promote a culture of safety among all workers.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date site records, including daily progress reports, site diaries, and health and safety documentation.
* Collaborate closely with the project team, including the Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, and Design Team, to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
* Assist in the procurement of materials and services, ensuring that all orders are placed in a timely manner and in accordance with project requirements.
* Provide leadership and guidance to site personnel, fostering a positive working environment and promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Site Manager, preferably with a main contractor specializing in high-end residential projects.
* Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and best practices, with experience working on projects ranging from £10m+ in value.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and site personnel.
* A proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving, with the ability to make quick and effective decisions under pressure.
* A thorough understanding of health and safety regulations, ideally holding a NEBOSH qualification or equivalent.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software.
