Freelance Roofing Site Manager
Location: Manchester
Rate: £270 - £300 per day
Contract: Freelance
Sector: Commercial Roofing
We are urgently seeking an experienced Site Manager to take the lead on a major commercial roofing project in Manchester. You will be the number one on-site, responsible for driving the programme, managing sub-contractors, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily site operations, logistics, and lifting operations.
Manage and coordinate specialist roofing subcontractors and trades.
Enforce strict Health & Safety protocols, including RAMS, inductions, and toolbox talks.
Conduct quality inspections, manage snagging, and report progress to the Project Manager.
Essential Requirements:
Proven track record managing commercial roofing projects (flat, pitched, or cladding systems).
Valid SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, and First Aid at Work.
Strong ability to read technical drawings and resolve on-site issues proactively.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
