Join Our Clients Team as a Site Manager for National Grid Projects

Are you an experienced leader in site operations, with a proven track record of delivering projects safely, on time, and to exceptional standards? If so, we want you to join our clients team as a Site Manager for National Grid projects.

Role Overview: As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all site operations, directing activities, and ensuring the timely and safe delivery of planned work. Your role will involve providing operational leadership and guidance to project delivery teams, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining high standards of productivity and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

* Direct and organise site activities to ensure safe and timely project delivery.

* Provide operational leadership and guidance to project delivery teams.

* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

* Complete necessary internal reporting to high standards.

* Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and external parties professionally and effectively.

* Lead and motivate a team, including subcontractors, to deliver on project objectives.

* Undertake detailed site inspections and maintain accurate records.

* Assist in recruitment and training activities as required.

* Promote best practice in health, safety, quality, and environmental management.

Requirements:

* National Grid Competent Person NSI 6 & 8 Full certification.

* Previous TP137 or SR163 appointment (formally assessed by client).

* Relevant health and safety certifications (IOSHH Managing Safely or SMSTS, IOSH environmental, CSCS or CCNSG Safety Passport).

* First Aid certification (Full 3 day).

* Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor certification.

* HNC/HND in Electrical or Civil Engineering or equivalent experience/training.

* Minimum 8 years' experience in the HV sector.

* Minimum 5 years' experience in Site Management of HV Substation construction.

* Strong civil, LV & HV knowledge.

* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.

* Commercial awareness and understanding of project financial performance.

* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Additional Information: This role involves both site-based and office elements. Candidates must be able to manoeuvre safely around construction sites and perform office tasks efficiently.
