A leading Tier 1 construction contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to support the delivery of major public sector construction projects across the Midlands. With a strong pipeline of secured work spanning healthcare, education and Ministry of Justice schemes, this is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded business that is committed to delivering complex, high-quality projects while investing in the development of its people.

Your new role

As Site Manager, you will report directly to the Project Manager and take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Working across projects in Rugby, Stafford and Sandwell, you will be responsible for coordinating site activities, managing subcontractors, maintaining programme targets and ensuring compliance with all health and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:
Managing construction projects from inception through to completion
Coordinating and supervising subcontractors and site teams
Monitoring progress against project programmes
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards
Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders
Identifying and resolving site issues effectively
Producing site reports and communicating progress to the wider project teamWhat you'll need to succeed

Proven experience as a Site Manager working for a Main Contractor
Experience delivering healthcare, education or MOJ construction projects
EL1 Security Clearance for candidates working on MOJ schemes in RUGBY
Enhanced DBS clearance
Demonstrable experience managing projects from start to finish
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and stakeholders effectively
Valid CSCS Card
NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management or equivalent
SMSTS qualification
Full UK driving licenceWhat you'll get in return
