Freelance Site Manager – CAT A Office Fitout
Leeds City Centre | £300 per day | 6-Month Initial Contract
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to join an established construction business delivering a £5m CAT A office fitout in the heart of Leeds City Centre.
The project is expected to run for approximately 6 months, with a mid-October start date. The exact start date is due to be fully confirmed within the next two weeks.
This is a site-based role and we are looking for a Site Manager with a strong background in commercial fitout, particularly CAT A and CAT B office projects, who is comfortable managing projects of £5m+ in value.
The Role:
* Managing the day-to-day delivery of a £5m CAT A office fitout
* Taking responsibility for site operations, health & safety, quality and programme
* Managing subcontractors and site labour
* Coordinating works across multiple trades and packages
* Working closely with the Project Manager and wider project team
* Monitoring progress against programme and addressing any issues on site
* Ensuring works are delivered to the required quality and specification
* Managing site logistics within a busy Leeds City Centre environment
* Attending site meetings and providing regular progress updates
The Candidate:
* Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial fitout projects
* Strong CAT A and CAT B fitout experience
* Experience delivering projects valued at £5m+
* Strong knowledge of construction processes, sequencing and site management
* Able to manage subcontractors and multiple trades effectively
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Relevant Site Management qualifications and CSCS
* Previous experience working on office fitout projects is essential
