Job Title: Site Manager – SHDF & Energy Efficiency Retrofit

Location: Reading (Base) with site travel across Hungerford, Wokingham & Portsmouth

Pay Rate: £32.00 per hour (Weekly Pay)

Travel: Full UK Driving Licence & Vehicle Required (Mileage Paid)

Contract Type: Full-Time Contract / Ongoing

Mandatory Requirements: CSCS Card (Black preferred), SMSTS, Proven SHDF / PAS 2035 Experience

Are you an experienced, ticketed Site Manager with a proven track record delivering social housing decarbonisation and energy efficiency retrofits

We are urgently recruiting a qualified Site Manager based in or around the Reading area to manage live delivery across a multi-measure Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) scheme.

This role is based out of Reading, overseeing mobile sites and project works across Hungerford, Wokingham, and Portsmouth. You will lead daily site operations, supervise multi-trade sub-contractors (EWI, IWI, insulation, ventilation, renewables), and ensure all works strictly align with PAS 2030 / PAS 2035 quality standards and CDM regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Management & Health & Safety: Lead day-to-day site operations, conduct RAMS, site inductions, and Toolbox Talks, enforcing strict H&S regulations across all active locations.

PAS 2030 / 2035 Compliance: Oversaw energy efficiency upgrades (EWI, IWI, loft/roof insulation, door/window replacements, and ventilation) to ensure full compliance with PAS specifications.

Sub-Contractor Management: Supervise scaffolding, insulation, and specialist multi-trade sub-contractors to meet strict weekly delivery milestones.

Resident & Client Engagement: Partner with Resident Liaison Officers (RLOs) to manage occupied housing logistics, minimize disruption for residents, and ensure high quality standards.

Multi-Site Travel: Travel regularly between Reading, Hungerford, Wokingham, and Portsmouth for progress inspections, site sign-offs, and quality audits.

Qualifications:

Valid SMSTS

CSCS Card (Black Manager card preferred, Gold acceptable with proven track record)

First Aid at Work & Asbestos Awareness

Full UK Driving Licence and personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed)

SHDF Experience: Demonstrable background running Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF), PAS 2020/2035, or major EWI/retrofit schemes.

Occupied Housing Focus: Experience managing live, occupied residential estates safely and efficiently.
