Salary: Up to £60,000

Site Manager - Social Housing Planned Works

We're recruiting on behalf of a leading main contractor that has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality planned refurbishment programmes for local authorities and housing associations. Due to continued growth and the award of new long-term frameworks, they are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join their operational team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on secure, long-term contracts with a business that genuinely values its people and offers clear opportunities for progression.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of planned works projects within occupied social housing, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Typical projects include:

Kitchen and bathroom replacement programmes
Window and door installations
Roofing works
External decorations
Internal and external refurbishments
Decent Homes programmes
Energy efficiency and retrofit worksWorking closely with the Contracts Manager, Resident Liaison Officers, Commercial team and subcontractors, you'll ensure projects run efficiently while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day site operations across planned works projects.
Coordinate subcontractors, direct labour and suppliers to deliver programmes efficiently.
Ensure all works are completed safely and in line with company procedures.
Monitor quality standards and carry out regular site inspections.
Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Maintain excellent relationships with clients, residents and stakeholders.
Work alongside Resident Liaison Officers to minimise disruption to tenants.
Complete site records, reports and progress updates.
Conduct toolbox talks and ensure full health and safety compliance.
Resolve on-site issues quickly and effectively to maintain programme delivery.

About You

We're looking to speak with experienced Site Managers who have a strong background delivering planned maintenance projects within the social housing sector.

You'll ideally have:

Previous experience as a Site Manager working for a main contractor.
Strong knowledge of planned works within occupied social housing.
Experience managing kitchen and bathroom programmes, external works or Decent Homes projects.
Excellent leadership and organisational skills.
Strong understanding of health and safety legislation.
Ability to manage subcontractors and site teams effectively.
Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
Full UK Driving Licence.
