Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Site Manager on a 12 month contract, located Midlands.

Role Summary

The Site Manager is responsible for the entire scope of construction site activities on a given project site, acting under the direction and on behalf of the project director. Within a given project, they define the site works strategy, leads the site teams, and manages the execution of the project scope of works. They ensure that Safety, Quality, Costs and Schedule comply with contractual obligations, company policy and local regulation.

On Large & complex sites a site manager can be mobilised to look after individual major packages.

Reports to the GSI Construction Manager and participates to the function’s objective definitions and their follow up.

Main tasks are the following:

* Support the timely definition and issuance of sub-contracts with EHS, Quality, Planning, Contract Management & Sourcing Input.

* Act as the main point of contact for operational aspects of all sites sub-contracts.

* In the case of partner / consortium, act as the main point of contact for all construction related topics.

* Ensure integration of Customer EHS requirements in project specific EHS procedure with EHS department support.

* Responsible for planning of C&C activities within the overall project schedule, implementation of construction management system on each site towards on time delivery of the project.

* Responsible for managing the risks and opportunities related to Construction & Commissioning activities.

* Active participation in the Behavioral Safety Programs

* Support preparation of staffing plan, mobilization of site teams & follow up of actuals vs. plan.

* Set goals and objectives for the supervisors mobilized on his site.

* Liaise with design office for timely issuance of data required for preparation & execution of

* Initiate implementation of CMS (Completion Management System) & definition of TOPs with Commissioning Team.

* Support project leadership during important meetings with customer.

Requirements

* An appropriate qualification in Civil / Electrical Engineering, degree level with 5-10 years of work experience.

* Appropriate health and safety experience, training and qualifications in line with international standards for roles of this nature. GWO certification an added advantage.

* Background in HV electrical works and commissioning.

* Great interpersonal skills & ability to lead working teams in difficult situation.

* Previous experience of undertaking the role of Site Manager on large HV Substation Project. Construction experience in the UK would be an advantage but is not essential.

* Have previous experience in the installation and commissioning of key elements of the project including

o Civil Works

o Building services & auxiliaries

o HV & MV equipment

o Control & Protection system

o Commissioning
