Description:
Sphere Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a commercial construction project in Yeovil, with a contract running until Christmas.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager with a strong main contractor background and experience delivering commercial build projects. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

Manage daily site operations and coordinate subcontractors.
*
Monitor progress against the construction programme and deadlines.
*
Ensure all works comply with drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
*
Maintain high standards of health, safety and site organisation.
*
Conduct site inspections and ensure defects are addressed promptly.
*
Coordinate labour, plant, materials and site logistics.
*
Review RAMS and ensure safe systems of work are followed.
*
Liaise with the Project Manager, engineers and wider delivery team.
*
Maintain accurate site records and provide regular progress updates.
*
Drive productivity and ensure the project remains on programme.
Requirements
*
Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial construction projects.
*
Main contractor experience.
*
SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid – essential.
*
Strong knowledge of construction health and safety.
*
Excellent subcontractor management and organisational skills.
*
Ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
