Site Manager - RC Frames & Groundworks - Freelance - Long Term
Location: South Yorkshire
Position: Site Manager
Sector: Civil Engineering / RC Frames & Groundworks
We are recruiting an experienced Site Manager to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering complex RC Frame and Groundworks projects across South Yorkshire.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Site Manager with a proven track record in reinforced concrete structures and groundwork packages.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and coordinate all site activities on RC Frame and Groundworks projects.
* Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards at all times.
* Supervise site teams, subcontractors and direct labour resources.
* Monitor progress against programme and take proactive action to maintain project deadlines.
* Coordinate plant, materials and labour to ensure efficient project delivery.
* Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
* Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and senior management.
* Attend and contribute to site progress meetings.
* Ensure works are completed in accordance with design specifications and company procedures.
* Maintain accurate site records, reports and documentation.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Site Manager on RC Frame and Groundworks projects.
* Strong understanding of reinforced concrete construction and civil engineering practices.
* Excellent knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation and site management procedures.
* Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering and construction drawings.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Full UK Driving Licence.

* SMSTS
* CSCS Card (Management Level)
* First Aid at Work
* Temporary Works knowledge (desirable)
* CPCS/NPORS qualifications (desirable)
