Fit-Out Site Manager
Swindon
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fit-Out Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day delivery of commercial interior fit-out projects. The successful candidate will take responsibility for site operations, health and safety, quality, programme, subcontractor management and client coordination from mobilisation through to completion and handover.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day running of the fit-out site.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades and site operatives.
Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
Manage site logistics, deliveries, materials and plant.
Review and implement RAMS, permits and site procedures.
Monitor progress against the construction programme and report any delays or issues.
Coordinate with the Project Manager, Contracts Manager, consultants and client representatives.
Chair and attend site meetings as required.
Carry out regular quality inspections and ensure snagging is effectively managed.
Maintain accurate site records, diaries and progress reports.
Ensure all works comply with drawings, specifications, building regulations and project requirements.
Manage subcontractor performance and coordinate sequencing of works.
Lead the project through to practical completion, snagging and handover.
Promote a strong health, safety and environmental culture across the site.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Site Manager within commercial fit-out/refurbishment.
Strong knowledge of CAT A and/or CAT B fit-out projects.
SMSTS.
CSCS qualification/card appropriate to the role.
First Aid at Work.
Strong understanding of health & safety, RAMS and site compliance.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Experience managing multiple subcontractors and trades.
Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work to demanding programmes and deadlines.
Relevant construction experience, ideally within commercial, office, retail or hospitality fit-out.
