Site Installation Operative – Workshop & Site
South Devon | £30,000–£36,000 + Benefits
Full-time, Permanent | UK Travel Required
RGB Recruitment is working with a specialist engineering business looking to recruit a practical, reliable Installation Operative to join its growing team.
This is a varied, hands-on position combining workshop preparation and assembly with installation work on engineering projects across the UK.
You'll be working with a small, experienced team, supporting the preparation, installation and maintenance of mechanical and structural components.
The Role
Preparing and assembling mechanical and fabricated components
Loading, unloading and preparing equipment for site
Using hand and power tools for drilling, fixing and installation
Carrying out basic concrete, formwork and pipework activities
Maintaining workshop equipment, tools and stock
Working safely on site, following RAMS and supervisor instructions
Travelling to projects across the UK, including overnight stays
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in construction, mechanical installation, fabrication, maintenance or similar practical work
An HNC Level 4 in Mechanical/Civil Engineering or a relevant Level 3 NVQ qualification
Confident using hand and power tools
Full UK driving licence
Able to commute to the South Devon workshop
Happy to travel and work away during the week when required
A reliable, practical approach and good awareness of health and safety
CSCS, experience working around water and small concrete works would be advantageous, although additional training can be provided.
