Site Engineer - Student Accommodation

Portadown, Craigavon

£40,000 - £60,000

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Site Engineer to oversee and manage the construction of our student accommodation project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the construction process meet safety regulations, quality standards, and project deadlines.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct site surveys and assessments to ensure compliance with project specifications and local regulations.

2. Collaborate with the project manager, architects, and contractors to develop construction plans and schedules.

3. Supervise construction activities, including earthworks, concrete works, structural installations, and finishing works.

4. Monitor the progress of construction activities and address any issues or delays promptly.

5. Perform quality control inspections to ensure that workmanship and materials meet project requirements.

6. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to procure materials and equipment necessary for construction.

7. Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily reports, progress updates, and material quantities.

8. Implement safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel on site.

9. Provide technical support and guidance to construction team members as needed.

10. Liaise with clients and stakeholders to address any concerns or inquiries related to the construction project.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

2. Proven experience working as a Site Engineer or similar role in the construction industry, with a focus on residential or commercial projects.

3. Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials.

4. Proficiency in using construction management software and tools.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

6. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

7. Demonstrated leadership abilities and team management skills.

8. Understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in construction.

9. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

10. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
