Site Engineer-Portsmouth-Outside IR35
Our client, a top Regional Contractor are looking for a Site Engineer to support a newly awarded Highways scheme that forms part of their framework with Highways England.
The scheme is a sign renewal scheme to replace defective traffic signs and posts along a section of the A27 near Portsmouth.
Work will be carried out in two stages, the first being vegetation clearance, surveys and installation of 50 new signs.
The scope of works is for:
* Topographical survey for extents shown in the survey drawings.
* GPR survey of existing underground utilities (utility mapping) – identification and verification.
* Utility mapping surveys will be carried out to PAS128 including Detection and Verification.
* The purpose will be to establish the location of all underground services that could affect the design.
* Trial holes for WAC testing.
* Slit trenches / trial holes to identify underground services.
* 5. Vegetation clearance to undertake required surveys.
* Installation of new signage
To be considered for this role, you will have a minimum of an HNC in Civil Engineering and will have solid Highways experience to your name and ideally exposure to the above works. You will also hold CSCS and SSSTS as a minimum.
In return, a top day rate is on offer which is Outside IR35 and comes with a minimum 5 month contract with lots of other works in the pipeline.
