Site Engineer – Groundworks | Mansfield
Location: Mansfield
Start Date: Monday
Contract: Long-term
Package Value: £6 million groundworks package
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major groundworks project near Mansfield, working for an established groundworks contractor.
The successful Site Engineer will play a key role in the delivery of a £6 million groundworks package, working closely with the Site Manager and project team to ensure works are delivered accurately, safely and to programme.
The Role
As Site Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of the groundworks package, including:
* Setting out and surveying for groundworks and associated civil engineering works
* Checking levels, coordinates and dimensions
* Producing and maintaining accurate site records
* Working from construction drawings and specifications
* Quality checking works and ensuring they are delivered to the required standards
* Liaising with site management, subcontractors and the wider project team
* Monitoring progress and identifying any technical issues
* Ensuring works are completed in line with health & safety requirements
* Assisting with the overall management and delivery of the £6m package
About You
We are looking for a Site Engineer with a strong groundworks/civils background who is confident working on a busy construction site.
You should have:
* Previous experience as a Site Engineer within groundworks/civils
* Strong setting-out and surveying skills
* Good knowledge of construction drawings and specifications
* Experience working on large-value groundworks packages
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Good communication and organisational skills
* Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience
* CSCS card
* Own equipment preferred
