Site Engineer 
Leading Tier 1 Highways Contractor:

Our clients Highways business has seen impressive growth over the last few years working in collaboration with Highways England and Local Authority clients across the UK. Their portfolio of road projects has contributed substantially to the national infrastructure network and has seen them become one of the leading players in the Highways sector. Site Engineer – Location:

Carlisle (subsistence offered) Site Engineer – What you will be doing: 

An opportunity has arisen for a Site Engineer to join my clients team. 
You will work on our Infrastructure project and frameworks Ideally, you will be based locally, although we are open to subsiding relocation. 

Site Engineer – Roles & Responsibilities:  

Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment. 
Coordinate site engineering control and setting out activities and provide information to operatives and subcontractors. 
Complete diary sheets along with any photographic evidence as required. 
Undertake material reconciliations. 
Ensure all surveying equipment is calibrated. 
Carry out as-built surveys on complete works and drawings. 
Produce 2D & 3D site sketches. 
Assist in maintaining quality records, ensuring all works undertaken in accordance with Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and maintaining the as-built records. 
Assist in basic planning, monitoring & programming. 
Assist in mentoring junior and graduate engineers as required. 
Control and minimise waste on site. 
Identify/assist in introducing new process, techniques and innovations on site. 
Ensure all company property under your control is taken care of and stored securely when not in use  Site Engineer – About You: 

Ability to work safely. 
Read & Interpret data and drawings. 
Confident with Standard setting out techniques and ability to use Level and EDM with knowledge of GPS preferred. 
Flexible attitude to work. 
Problem solving skills. 
HND/Degree is desirable 
Relevant CSCS card. 
Office 365 expertise.
