Site Engineer – Civils / Public Realm
Location: North East England
Salary: Up to £42,000 + Car Allowance
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
We are currently looking to speak with an experienced Site Engineer to join an established civil engineering contractor on a permanent, salaried basis.
The role will involve working on a range of civil engineering and public realm projects across the North East, including active travel schemes, cycleways, paving, kerbing, footpaths and associated infrastructure works.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Engineer with a background in civil engineering who is looking to join a busy contractor with a strong pipeline of regional work.
Key Responsibilities

Carrying out setting out duties across a range of civil engineering projects.

Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements.

Undertaking site surveys, measurements and quality checks.
*
Maintaining accurate site records and engineering documentation.
*
Supporting site management with the coordination and delivery of works.
*
Monitoring quality and ensuring construction tolerances are achieved.
*
Identifying and resolving technical issues on site.
*
Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained throughout.
Requirements
*
Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering.
*
Strong setting out experience.
*
Background in highways, public realm or infrastructure projects.
*
Familiarity with works such as paving, kerbing, cycleways, footpaths or associated groundworks.
*
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
