Salary £30,000-£40,000
Location: Essex
Project: Major Highways Infrastructure Scheme
The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a Site Engineer to join a major highways infrastructure project in Essex. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a significant infrastructure scheme, working alongside an experienced delivery team on a complex programme of highways improvements and civil engineering works.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the engineering delivery of works on site, ensuring construction activities are completed safely, accurately and in accordance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
·Setting out and surveying for highways and civil engineering works.
·Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and construction requirements.
·Undertaking site surveys, levelling and dimensional control.
·Producing and maintaining accurate site records, including as-built information.
·Carrying out quality inspections and ensuring works meet required standards.
·Working closely with Site Agents, Section Engineers and subcontractors to coordinate daily activities.
·Monitoring progress and identifying any engineering issues that may affect programme delivery.
·Ensuring all works comply with health, safety and environmental requirements.
Requirements
·Previous experience as a Site Engineer within highways or civil engineering.
·Strong setting-out and surveying experience.
·Competent using engineering equipment and relevant software.
·Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
·Good understanding of construction processes and quality assurance.
·Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience.
