First Task Professional are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to join an established civil engineering contractor on a substation project in Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong background in civil engineering, ideally with previous experience working on substations, power infrastructure or other heavy civils projects.

Key Responsibilities

Carrying out setting out and surveying for civil engineering works across the substation project.

*

Setting out foundations, drainage, ducting, cable trenches and associated infrastructure.

*

Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.

*

Completing QA documentation, inspections and maintaining accurate site records.

*

Liaising with Site Managers, subcontractors and the wider engineering team.

*

Assisting with technical queries and resolving engineering issues on site.

*

Ensuring all works comply with site health and safety requirements.

Requirements

*

Previous experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering projects.

*

Substation, power transmission or energy infrastructure experience advantageous.

*

Proficient in setting out using robotic total stations and GPS equipment.

*

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

*

Previous experience working on reinforced concrete foundations, drainage and ducting desirable.
