Description:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major marine / reinforced concrete structures project. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of a high-profile marine infrastructure scheme, working within a technically challenging construction environment.

The Role

As Site Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the technical delivery of the project, ensuring construction activities are carried out safely, accurately and in accordance with the required technical, quality and programme standards. You will work closely with the Senior Engineer, Project Manager, Site Management, subcontractors and design teams to ensure works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications and client requirements.

Site Engineer Responsibilities

* Leading and managing day-to-day site engineering activities across marine and reinforced concrete structures works.

* Setting out and surveying reinforced concrete structures, marine structures, foundations and associated civil engineering works.

* Checking dimensions, levels, coordinates and alignment to ensure construction works are completed accurately and in accordance with the design.

* Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical documentation, identifying discrepancies and raising technical queries where required.

* Producing and maintaining accurate site records, as-built information, surveys and engineering documentation.

* Assisting with the preparation and review of QA documentation, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), inspection records and handover documentation.

* Carrying out quality inspections and supporting the identification and resolution of

* Assisting with material checks, reinforcement inspections, formwork inspections and concrete pours where required.

* Maintaining surveying equipment and ensuring all instruments are correctly calibrated and suitable for use.

Site Engineer Requirements

* Previous experience delivering marine infrastructure, reinforced concrete structures, ports, harbours, coastal works or major civil engineering schemes is highly desirable.

* Strong technical knowledge of reinforced concrete, foundations, marine structures, formwork, reinforcement and associated civil engineering works.

* Experience with setting out, surveying and supporting complex engineering activities on major construction projects.

* Excellent understanding of construction methodology, quality assurance and health & safety requirements.

* Competent using Leica, Trimble or similar surveying equipment.

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.

* Valid CSCS Card (essential).

* Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
