Site Engineer / Quality Engineer / Senior Engineer
Location: Middlesbrough
Start Date: End of October 2026
Contract: Permanent or Freelance
Duration: 12 months initially, with likely 2-year extension
Project Value: £250m–£300m Data Centre Project
We are currently recruiting for experienced Site Engineers, Quality Engineers and Senior Engineers to join a major £250m–£300m data centre project in Middlesbrough.
This is a long-term opportunity with an initial 12-month contract, with the project expected to continue for a further 2 years.
We are open to candidates looking for either permanent or freelance opportunities.
The Role
Depending on your position, responsibilities will include:

Site engineering and setting out
*
Managing and coordinating engineering activities on site
*
Quality assurance and quality control
*
Preparing and managing ITPs and quality documentation
*
Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical information
*
Liaising with subcontractors, consultants and the wider project team
*
Monitoring works against programme, specification and quality requirements
*
Identifying and resolving technical and quality issues
*
Maintaining accurate site records and documentation
*
Supporting the successful delivery of a large-scale data centre project
Requirements
*
Previous experience working for a main contractor is essential
*
Relevant construction/civil engineering experience
*
Proven experience in a Site Engineer, Quality Engineer or Senior Engineer role
*
Strong understanding of construction processes, drawings and specifications
*
Good communication and organisational skills
*
Ability to work effectively within a large project team
*
Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction or a related discipline
Experience working on data centres, major infrastructure, industrial or other large-scale projects would be advantageous.
