Role Overview:
As a Site Engineer, you will be instrumental in overseeing the construction of a state-of-the-art steel frame industrial unit in Manchester. Working closely with the project team, you will ensure that all engineering aspects of the project are executed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct site surveys and assessments to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and regulations.
* Oversee setting out activities, ensuring accurate positioning of steel structures and components.
* Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to resolve technical issues and optimize construction processes.
* Monitor and maintain quality control measures to uphold project standards.
* Provide technical guidance and support to site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
* Regularly inspect work progress, identifying and addressing any deviations from plans or specifications.
* Ensure strict adherence to health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
* Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
* Proven experience as a Site Engineer on large-scale construction projects, with specific experience in steel frame structures preferred.
* Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools for engineering design and analysis.
* Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Valid CSCS card and relevant certifications.
